Philomene Leduc

ALBURGH - After a few hard days in the hospital, surrounded by the people she loved and cared about, Philomene Leduc of Alburgh, VT has passed away on August 27, 2023.

She was a hard working fiercely independent woman. She loved nothing better than to welcome anyone to sit down in her house. A house she said "wasn't fancy, but hers" and share a meal because there was always plenty. And if you were lucky dessert was served - a favorite was applesauce cake with a brown sugar sauce.

Mom loved animals and cared for her beloved cats and her girl Princess. Countless hours were spent caring for and worrying about her children, grandchildren, and then her great grandchildren. Many lessons in life were taught. Many good meals were shared. And A lot of maple creamies were eaten. We all love you mom... thanks for really being our mom. "Do what you have to do, but don't overdo it, try to make the best of it, and beeee careful."

She is survived by her two children, Lucy Leduc and her significant other Dave Bressette of Swanton, and Mark Leduc of Alburgh; grandchildren, Lori and her partner Justin, Diane and her husband Seth, Benjamin and his fiancé Molly, and Nicholas and his fiancé Kalie; great grandchildren, Emma, Mason, Samuel, and Jacob; her brother, Ernest Bourgeois; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Philomene was predeceased by her husband, Real Leduc; and her daughter-in-law, Brooke Leduc; and her sister-in-law, Maxine Bourgeois.

Philomene's family will be celebrating her life privately.
