Richford /St. Albans - Raymond K. Baker, 96, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, VT
Raymond was born on February 16, 1914 in Montgomery, VT, the son of Homer and Mabel (Domina) Baker. Raymonds mother died when he was four and he was raised by his grandparents, Charles and Hattie Domina of Montgomery.
Raymond worked for the American Coin Lock Co. for several years prior to his retirement in the sixties. He was proud to have been a welder on the battleships in Bath, Maine during the war. Raymond enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball and playing cards on weekends.
Raymond married Hildreth Miner in 1940. She predeceased him on September 17, 2002. Surviving are his son Charles and his wife Hallie of Nashua, NH; his daughter Connie and her husband Alan Mullen of Georgia, VT; four grandchildren Charles McAllister, Eric Baker, Steven Mullen and Linda LaPierre; ten great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Raymond was predeceased by his granddaughter Kimberly in 2004, four brothers and three sisters.
Interment will take place in the spring at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
