ENOSBURG FALLS - Raymond A. Latimer, age 88, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the St. Albans Health & Rehab center.
He was born July 18, 1924 in Franklin the son of the late Joseph & Grace (Desmarais) Latimer.
Raymond was a graduate of Enosburg Falls High School class of 1943. After high school he married Marie Deuso on June 28, 1947. Raymond and Marie raised their children on the family farm in Berkshire. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, bowling, snowmobiling, and he liked going to lawn sales and auctions. Raymond was also a devoted Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marie Latimer of Enosburg; his children, Richard Latimer and his wife Barbara of Burlington, Janet Smith and her husband Raymond of Waitsfield, Linda Rowden and her husband Richard of Burlington and Nancy Danaher and her husband Robert of Waitsfield; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, his sister, Dorothy Ledoux of Tampa, FL and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his son, Reginald Latimer and his sisters, Viola & Mary Rose Potvin.
A memorial service will be held Monday September 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT with Rev. Roger Charbonneau officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the funeral.
