ENOSBURGH - Rene L. Longley, age 21, passed away unexpectedly as a result of a farm accident on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born in St. Albans on March 12, 1994 to Rene E. & Carrie (Deuso) Longley.
Rene grew up in Enosburgh and attended Enosburg Falls High School and Vermont Adult Learning (VAL). He was employed for most of his teenage years at NAPA in Enosburg Falls, but his passion was running equipment so he recently went to work for Rainvilles Custom Crops. Rene loved riding his snow machine and anything with wheels and a motor especially 4 wheelers, dirt bikes and tractors. He was a hard worker and could often be found helping his grandfather cut wood, run equipment or get ready for sugaring. Rene was a thrill seeker and loved taking jumps, doing crazy stunts and living life to the fullest!
Rene leaves behind his son, Khaled Michael Fournier of Berkshire; his parents Rene E. Longley & Carrie Deuso of Enosburgh; a brother, Josh Longley and his fianc Jennifer White and their daughter Kallie all of St. Albans; maternal grandparents, William & Susan Deuso of Enosburgh; paternal grandparents, Richard Longley of Richford and Pat of Waterville; maternal great grandfather, Howard Deuso of Enosburg Falls; aunts & uncles, Lori Paradee and her husband Jay of Fairfield, Liesa Longley of St. Albans, Leandra Longley and Danny Fitzgerald of Georgia, Louise Jacob and her husband Roger of Enosburgh, Rick Longley of Berkshire, Billie Jo Draper and her husband Gary of Enosburgh, Howard Deuso and his wife Pamela of Franklin and Nick Deuso and his wife Kiley of Richford; his girlfriend, Hannah Day; special friends, Josh Randall & Taylor and their daughter Averi, Jessie Wells, Cody Paradee and George and Eli Gabuzda and many cousins and great aunt & uncles.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Jason McConnell officiating.
A time of visitation will be held Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service.
