RICHFORD - Richard A. Carpenter, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born on July 23, 1945 in Hartford, CT the son of the late Russell S. & Doris M. (Rodinson) Carpenter. Richard lived in Bristol, VT for many years prior to moving to Richford.
Richard is survived by 3 daughters, Norma Button and her husband Brian of Sheldon, Tara Wright and her husband Kevin and Mary Carpenter all of Richford; 2 sons, Walter Carpenter and his girlfriend Barb of Richford and David Carpenter and his girlfriend Amade of Middlebury; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, David Carpenter and his wife Pam of Rutland and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by his wife, Bernice (Jimmo) Carpenter on November 13, 2007; a daughter, Jessie Carpenter, who died at birth; 2 brothers, Robert & Allen Carpenter and a sister, Christine Frost.
There will be no public services for Richard and his remains will be buried with his wife in the Richford Center Cemetery.
