SHELDON - Richard B. Coe, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born in St. Johnsbury on November 13, 1936 to the late Burton & Helen (Reed) Coe.
Richard grew up in Enosburg and married Pauline (Meunier) on June 11, 1955. He worked for Fonda Container in St. Albans for nearly 43 years. Richard loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. When he was home, you could find him watching the DIY channel or NASCAR, his favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Pauline Coe of Sheldon; their children, Timothy Coe and his significant other Bonnie of Richford, Steven Coe of St. Albans, Mary Coe of St. Albans Bay, and James Coe and his wife Patty of Clarksburg, WV; 6 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren; his brother, Gerald Coe and his wife Virginia of Essex; a sister-in-law, Ardis Meunier of Fairfax; several nieces & nephews; and a very special young man, Chance Smith. Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by his siblings, Phillip Coe, and Susan Ploof.
In keeping with Richards wishes, there will be no public services.
