SWANTON – Robert “Bob” A. Sears, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born in St. Albans on November 30, 1942 to the late Albert & Thelma (Russell) Sears.
Bob worked several different jobs in his life. He worked in Swanton for Donald Skeels at a grain facility, Champlain Cable, Swanton Lumber Company, Softlite Technologies, Bellrose Plumbing and Heating and most recently at Lucille Farms in Swanton. Taking into consideration that Bob went a lifetime without ever having a driver’s license, he found it easiest to work in his hometown. In Bob’s younger years, he enjoyed fishing.
Bob is survived by his brother, Marshall Sears and his wife Audrey “Kate” of Kent, CT; a brother-in-law, Ronald “Joe” Terry of Grand Isle; a sister-in-law, Sally Sears of Richville, NY; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his siblings, Albert Sears Jr., Marie Trahan and her husband Richard, Rita Terry, and Linda and Winford Fletcher Jr.
In respecting Bob’s wishes, there will be no services.
For those who wish, contributions in Bob’s memory may be made to the United Way – Northwest Vermont, 412 Farrell Street, Suite 200, South Burlington, VT 05403.
