Robert was a 1965 graduate of Richford High School. Upon graduating from High School, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam with the Dagger Brigade 1st Infantry Division and received his honorable discharge in 1968 with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 14 of Vergennes and a life member of the NRA.
Robert was employed at Goodrich in Vergennes for 26 years retiring in 1994. He then worked for the Addison Solid Waste District for 5 years retiring in 2004. He enjoyed researching genealogy and as a young man enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his brother, Roger L. Brouillette of Vergennes; his daughter, Jennifer Brouillette and her daughter Gillian Alexis Lavigne of Burlington; his aunt, Sylvia Brouillette of West Enosburgh; and several cousins. Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by and infant child, and an infant sibling.
In keeping with Roberts wishes he was cremated and a memorial service was held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. Interment with military honors followed in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Enosburg Falls. There were no visiting hours.
