Robert (Bucky) Lapan Sr age 72 passed away Saturday afternoon September 16 2017 surrounded by family at the Northwestern Medical Center.
Born in Swanton on, November 16 1944, he was the son of Noah and Mary Jane (Garner) Lapan. He attended St Annes Academy in Swanton.
On January 12th 1963 he married his wife, Shirley Lapan (Murphy).
Bucky retired from S.B. Collins where he worked for 35 Years.
He loved hunting, driving his ATV side by side, playing his guitar and singing to his wife.
He always looked forward to going to Pelkeys Archery with his son Bobby to compete in the bow shooting leagues.
Bucky enjoyed taking care of his family and was happy to help to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.
People always enjoyed just sitting and talking with him. You would always learn something new from him.
In addition to his wife Shirley Bucky leaves 2 sons, Robert (Bob) Lapan Jr and wife Tracy, Fred and April Lapan of North Carolina and daughter Kelly Williams and husband Pete of Swanton; brothers, Norman and Janice Lapan, Larry Lapan and Noah Lapan Jr; his sister, Phyllis Draper; sister-in-law, Debbie Corliss brother-in-law Steve and Diane Murphy; grandkids, Heather, Beth, Jami, John, Emma, Freddy; great grandkids, Aireonna (wezzle), Louise, Skyler, Isabel, and Ava.
He was predeceased by son, Dwayne Lapan and granddaughter, Ashley Lapan. Also surviving are special people, Danny and Lynn Billado, Herman and Nancy Barratt, Bill and Brenda Daniels Jami and Kevin Lapan Andrew Saveall and Adam Christenson.
You left us yet you stayed. You walk beside us every day.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service at his request.
