MONTGOMERY - Robert F. Bobby Deuso, age 80, passed away Saturday evening, April 27, 2013 at the Franklin County Rehab Facility in St. Albans.
He was born in Montgomery on July 16, 1932 the son of the late Charles & Bernice (Donna) Deuso.
Bobby was a lifelong resident of Montgomery and a devoted and faithful servant of the Montgomery United Methodist Church where he helped with the food shelter and had been the bell ringer since the early 1970s. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and could often be seen riding to the post office to collect the family mail as well as the neighbors. He also enjoyed watching the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune.
Bobby is survived by his sisters and their husbands, Barbara & Joseph St. Cyr of Montgomery and Shirley & Everett Demeritt of Wolcott; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his brothers, Wendell & Myles Deuso.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Montgomery United Methodist Church, 20 Fuller Bridge Road, Montgomery with Pastor Edward Sorrell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Montgomery Village Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
