Robert Sweeney Sr.

ENOSBURG FALLS - Robert R. Sweeney Sr., age 66, passed away at his home Wednesday evening February 1, 2017.
He was born July 25, 1950 in St. Albans the son of the late Stanley & Doris (Lambert) Sweeney
Robert began his career driving truck for his father, Stan Sweeney Rubbish Removal and then went to work for Green Mountain Sanitation. His most recent employment was as an Associate with Jolley Store in Enosburg Falls (formerly Uncle Floyds).
Robert enjoyed watching movies and especially loved to watch wrestling. Hanging out with his family gave him the most pleasure, especially when he was with his grandkids and great grandkids. Robert will be remembered as a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his children; son, Robert Sweeney Jr. and his wife Linda, son, Christopher Sweeney, Step-daughter, Beverly Baranik and her husband Jeff, Step-son, Erwin Rockwell, Step-daughter, Mary Rockwell and her fianc Kevin Savoie, Step-daughter, Patricia Severance, Step-daughter, Angela Kulengosky and her husband Mark, Step-daughter, Jeneen Therrien and husband Kyle, and Step-Son, Brian Newell and his wife Pam; his grandchildren, Gage, Chance, Mikie, Kenny, Lance, Tabitha, Katie, Justin, Michelle, Elizabeth, Kristin, Kirsten, Kayla, Dakota, AJ, Trinity & Damian; many great grandchildren; his brothers, Gary & David Sweeney; his grand-dogs; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Sweeney; his brother, Michael Sweeney; and his former wife, Sandy Grandchamp.
In keeping with Roberts wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no memorial service or visiting hours.
