ENOSBURG FALLS - Roger A. Ladieu, age 85, passed away on Thursday, June 18th, 2020 at Brownway Residence in Enosburg Falls.
He was born in Highgate on July 27th, 1934 to the late Clarence & Viola (West) Ladieu.
Roger graduated from Franklin High School in 1952. After graduating, he worked as a farmer in both Vermont and Massachusetts, before becoming a machinist. He retired as a machinist from Velan Valve in 1996. In his free time, he built his own home, enjoyed woodworking, traveling, camping, and listening to old country music. He spent his time playing cards, fishing, and enjoyed spending time with his dog, Snoopy.
He is survived by his children; Mike Ladieu of Highgate, Susan Tracy and her husband Patrick of Richford, Debora Steinhour and her husband David of Richford, and Jeffrey Ladieu and his wife Louise of Sheldon; daughter-in-law, Theresa Ladieu of Swanton; brother, Lyle Ladieu; sister-in-law, Theresa Ladieu; former wife and best friend, Connie Ladieu; and her children, Jen Marcoux and her husband Jeff of Richford, Stephan Tracy and his girlfriend Joanne Longley of St. Albans, Rebekah Labelle and her husband Mark of East Fairfield, Chris Tracy Sr. and his wife Kristin of Richford; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn (White) Ladieu; his children, Marcia Schneider, Gary Ladieu, and Mary Lou Tracy; his brother, Norman Ladieu; and his sister, Leatrice Rheaume.
Rogers family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Brownway for taking care of Roger over the past 5 years, and especially over for the last few months.
Per Rogers request, there will be no calling hours and a graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 26, 2020 in the Richford Center Cemetery, South Richford Rd., Richford.
