Rolland E. Poquette

ALBURGH – Rolland E. Poquette, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2022, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

Rolland was born on June 13, 1926, to the late Hurbert and Frances (Mott) Poquette.

He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of World War II.

Rolland was a lifelong resident of Alburgh. He was an avid gardener and a crafted woodworker; he loved to mow lawns and enjoyed coffee time with his Alburgh buddies. 

Rolland is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret (Darrow) Poquette; children, Garland Poquette and his wife Patricia of Sarasota, FL, Ross Poquette and his wife Tammy of Alburgh, and Randy Poquette and his wife Tawnya of Alburgh; 29 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Baker and her husband Hank of Essex; along with many special friends, especially his neighbors the Darby/Hermann family. Besides his parents, Rolland was predeceased by 2 daughters; Rosalind Clark of Hamden, MA, and Katrina Evringham of Greece, NY; and 1 son, Tracy Poquette of Alburgh.

In respecting Rolland's wishes, there will be no services.
