Ronald Bocash

FRANKLIN - Ronald P. Bocash, age 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning July 22, 2008 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington surrounded by his family.

Ronald was born September 1, 1936 in Sheldon the son of the late Clarence & Beatrice (LaChapelle) Bocash.

Ronald was a resident of Sheldon most of his life and for the past 2 years made his home at the Franklin Homestead. He married Susie Sartwell on July 6, 1957, she predeceased him on February 22, 2005.

Ronald was the Road Commissioner for the Town of Sheldon for several years and then opened his own service station in Sheldon Junction which he also operated for several years prior to being Road Foreman for the Town of Fairfield, retiring after 20 years of employment.

Ronald was an avid baseball fan having played on several senior mens baseball teams in the area and enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox. He also enjoyed going on gambling trips to New York and going out to eat with his friends from the Homestead.

He is survived by his son, Ronny Bocash and his wife Denise of Fairfield; his daughter, Tammy Campbell and her husband Ty of Highgate Springs; four grandchildren, Shayne Bocash, Melissa Bocash, Adam Campbell, and Tucker Campbell; two brothers, Clarence Bocash Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Sheldon, and Peter Bocash of Fairfield; three sisters, Janice Ladieu and her husband, Lyle of Swanton, Dale Duffy and her husband Lloyd of Fairfield, and Joan Pariseau and her husband Frank of Enosburg Falls; three brothers-inlaw, Miles Sartwell of Highgate, Tommy Sartwell and his wife Anita of Richford, and Jake Sartwell and his wife Clarita of Highgate; two sisters-in-law, Gertrude Menard of St. Albans, and Doris Sartwell of Highgate; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Clarence & Beatrice Bocash, and wife, Susie Bocash Ronald was predeceased by two sisters, Phyllis Sartwell and Doris Derry; and one brother, Harry Bocash.

Ronalds family would like to express their sincerest thanks to all the residents at the Franklin Homestead for the friendships they extended to their father.

A graveside service will be held Monday July 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Highgate Center Cemetery with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4-6 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
