BERKSHIRE - Rosaire C. Paradis, 85, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
Rosaire was born on March 4, 1927 in Brownington, VT, the son of the late Rolland & Delina (Vachon) Paradis.
Rosaire moved to Montreal as a child with his family. Returning to VT, he was drafted into the army to serve during the Korean War. Upon his discharge, he returned to VT to enjoy a 59 year marriage to Vivian and was blessed with 9 children. He was a farmer and loved horse racing. Rosaire became a lifetime member of the American Legion after 50 years of membership; a milestone he reached earlier this year. He enjoyed playing cribbage and pool; he was always ready with a joke or story.
Rosaire is survived by his wife, Vivian (Vachon) Paradis of Berkshire; his children, Albert Paradis and wife Dawn of Berkshire, Richard Paradis and friend Darlene of Enosburg, Leo Paradis and wife Baerbel of Berkshire, Helen Millinor of Berkshire, Claudette Paradis of Enosburg, Charlie Paradis of Wilmington, NC, Lisa Kane and friend Stephen of Essex Jct. and Joseph Paradis and friend Stephanie of Wylie, TX; a daughter-in-law, Susan (Begnoche) Paradis of Berkshire; his grandsons, Andre, Jonathan, Jeff, Kregg, Kasey, Jacob and Sean, great-grandson Brandon and his granddaughters, Abigail, Anna, Barbara, Jessica, Laura, Megan, and Shannon. Besides his parents, Rosaire was predeceased by his son, Paul Paradis.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, February 13th, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 62 Missisquoi St., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Roger Charbonneau officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls on Tuesday, February 12th from 4-7 PM.
