FRANKLIN - Sandra Andersen, age 73, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care facility in Burlington.
She was born September 29, 1939 in Franklin, VT the daughter of the late Newell & Charlene (Scott) Benjamin.
Sandra was a graduate of Franklin High School and earned both her Bachelor and Master degrees in education. Sandra loved teaching and spending time with children. She taught at both Franklin and Berkshire schools and retired in 2002. Her hobbies included gardening, bird watching and spending time with her family and beloved dog, Buddy. Sandra also loved to travel with her friend Diane, they went to China, Japan and on a cross country trip by train.
She is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings and nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her sisters-in-law Beatrice & Nancy Benjamin.
A celebration of Sandras life will be held at the Franklin Central School at a time to be announced. Interment will take place in the East Franklin Cemetery at the convenience of her family.
