Shortly after her birth her father, Louis who was a 1st Sgt. in the US Army stationed at Ft. Sharon graduated from Enosburg Falls High School, class of 1961. She was active in school activities and was selected to attend Girls State in her junior year. She also was active in sports, playing softball, basketball and was part of the girls basketball team that won a State Title.

After graduation she attended nursing school in Brooklyn, NY and lived in the Burlington, VT area for the remainder of her life. She worked in the medical field as a nurse and medical assistant until her MS forced her into early retirement. Sharon loved to read and was an avid sports fan who loved the Red Sox. She took great pride in talking about and seeing her grandchildren and family. Throughout her years afflicted with MS she never lost her sense of humor nor her thirst for world news.
