ENOSBURG FALLS - Sharon A. Larose, age 79, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born November 7, 1944 in Norfolk, VA to the late William Sr. & Jeanne (Giroux) Bonnette.
She graduated from the West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School. After graduation she returned to Vermont and pursued her education, earning a Bachelor's Degree from Johnson State College. She used her knowledge and gentle guidance to inspire a love for learning in others. Sharon's commitment extended beyond the classroom, where she also shared her love for swimming by teaching children at her own pool.
In August 1962, Sharon married the love of her life, Rosaire Larose, and together, they built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories. Sharon's kindness, warmth, and unwavering support made her not only an exceptional teacher but also a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
She enjoyed knitting, walking, playing cards, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was also a proud member of the Retired Teachers Association, Johnson State Alumni Association, Moose Lodge, and the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.
Left to cherish Sharon's memory is her husband, Rosaire Larose of Enosburg Falls; their children, Tom Larose and his wife Cheryl Fortin of Lewiston, ME, Evelyn Chaffee of Rouses Point, NY, and Ron Larose and his wife Tammy of Franklin; grandchildren, Jason Larose and his wife Laura, Jeremy Larose and his wife Hailey, Jenessa Tamargo and her husband Richard, Dylan Chaffee, Trevor Chaffee, Wyatt Larose and his wife Rachel, and Elisabeth Larose; great grandchildren, Ayden, Ella, Jaeley, Jaxon, Benjamin, Jasper, Angel, Ariana, Scarlett, and Farah; one great great grandson, Grayson; her siblings, Robert Bonnette, Richard Bonnette, Edmond Bonnette, Michael Bonnette, Jean-Paul Bonnette, James Bonnette, Michelle Baldino, and Jaclyn Brewer; sister-in-law, Anita Mayhew; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her great grandson, Anthony; her siblings, William Bonnette Jr., and Suzanne Melchiore; and several brothers-in-law.
Friends & family are invited to Sharon's life celebration to include visitation from 4-7:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue, Enosburg Falls, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 19, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Church, Missisquoi St., Enosburg Falls, VT. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Enosburg Falls.
