EAST HIGHGATE - Sherry Lynn Machia, age 44 passed away after a long illness on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born April 15, 1973 in Schenectady, NY to Thornton J. Machia Sr. and the late Frances M. (Butler) Machia.
Sherry was employed as a Cook at various places in Franklin County. She enjoyed puzzles, art, working and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Shalee Turner and her significant other Cory LaPlant, and Samantha Turner and her fianc, Jered Chapple; 4 grandchildren; Nevaeh, Kaverin, Brianna and Valerie, father, Thornton J. Machia Sr.; brother, Thornton J. Machia Jr.; sisters, Debora (Machia) McDade, and Regina Machia and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Sherry was predeceased by her son, Shawn Turner; mother, Frances Machia; sister, Pamela Machia, and brothers, Patrick Machia and Little Earl Machia.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 starting at 2:00 PM at 2597 Machia Road, Sheldon, Vermont. Favorite dishes would be appreciated.
