MONTGOMERY CENTER - Theresa B. Snider, age 84, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born on October 24, 1927 in Montgomery the daughter of the late Lewis & Lena (Lumbra) Domina.
Theresa attended graded school in Montgomery and was a 1945 graduate of Enosburg Falls High School. On October 29, 1945 she married Ralph E. Snider who predeceased her on October 28, 2009. She was a member of St. Isidores Catholic Church where she was a former CCD teacher. She was also a member of the Ladies of St. Ann & St. Theresa Societies and a former member of the Catholic Order of Foresters
Theresa was active in the Montgomery community having served as Auditor, Board of Civil Authority. She worked at the Montgomery Elementary School in the Hot Lunch Program retiring in 1989.
She enjoyed playing cribbage and different card games like 500 and Skip-Bo. Most of all she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always looking forward to their visits.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Bruce J. Snider Jr and his wife Heather of St. Albans, Jamie Tatro and her husband Michael of St. Albans and Holly Knox of St. Albans; her great grandchildren, Phoebe Knox, Bruce Snider III, Hannah Mae Tatro, Laci Mae Snider, Emily Snider, Mikayla Sweetser-Snider, Logan, Brittany, Ashley & Sabastian Tatro; her daughter-in-law, Julie Snider of St. Albans; her brother and his wife, Cedric & Jeanette Domina of Easthampton, MA; her sister, Phyllis Brown of Holyoke, MA; her sisters-in-law, Gila Domina of Montgomery, Marguerite Warner of Lowell, and Betsy Snider of Montgomery; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Theresa was predeceased by her son, Bruce J. Snider Sr.; and her siblings, Gerald, Harlan, Richard & Joyce Domina.
Funeral services will be held Monday April 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Isidores Catholic Church, 169 Mountain Road, Montgomery Center with Rev. Karl Hahr celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. Isidores Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4-7 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
