SWANTON– Tonya L. Beauregard, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at her home in Swanton. She was born in St. Albans on March 20, 1976 to Cynthia (Barrette) Beauregard and Norman Beauregard. Tonya grew up in Highgate and graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School. While in school she enjoyed playing basketball and softball and continued playing softball in local women’s and CO-ED softball leagues. Tonya worked a variety of jobs but was the happiest when she was farming— she had an unmatched love for animals. She was creative and enjoyed crafts including wood burning, making jewelry, knitting, and redoing furniture. Tonya also loved cars, going for rides on motorcycles, ice fishing, hunting, and cooking. Tonya was strong, full of life, and was always willing to help others. She is survived by her parents, Cynthia Beauregard and her significant other James Mullen, and Norman Beauregard and his significant other Joanne Blouin; brother, Chris Curtios; a very special friend, Ashley Johnson; her beloved dog, Bella; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Clayton & Madonna Baratte. Family and friends are invited to Tonya’s Life Celebration events to include visitation on Friday, July 2, 2021, from 4:00- 7:00 PM at Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488 with a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 65 Canada St, Swanton, VT 05488. Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Swanton.
