RICHFORD - Uldene Veda Embury, age 82, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, September 16, 2012.
She was born March 30, 1930 in Montgomery the daughter of the late Otis & Eliza (Flanders) Rushford.
Uldene was a longtime employee of the Northland Hockey Stick Factory and also worked as a homecare provider for Franklin County Home Health Agency and as a secretary for R.L. Vallee. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 12 of Richford. She enjoyed knitting & crocheting, especially for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping and going to lawn sales with her sisters.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Carol Jean Embury of Reedsport, OR, Leonard & Sandra Embury, Carlton Embury, Glenn & Barbara Embury all of Richford, and Janet & Clayton Whittemore of Eden; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; her sisters, Frances Culloton & Natalie Marston both of Richford, and Charlotte Rushford of Ferrisburgh; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Uldene was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Embury on September 13, 1981; her siblings, Barbara Rushford, Harel Hale, Bernard Goodwin, Guilbert Rushford, Vonley Rushford and Arlene Whitehead.
In keeping with Uldenes wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no funeral or visiting hours. Interment will take place in a private service at the Montgomery Village Cemetery.
