ENOSBURG FALLS, VT / MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Veronica K. Benoit, age 93, passed away Wednesday July 4, 2012 at her home in Myrtle Beach.
She was born in Enosburg Falls on June 22, 1919 the daughter of the late Homer & Lillian (Daigue) King.
Veronica was born and raised in Enosburg and graduated from Enosburg Falls High School class of 1937. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Veronica also worked part time in the law office of Doug Devries for several years. She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Church and sang in the choir. Veronica enjoyed to travel and visit with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Carolee Muniz of Myrtle Beach, SC and George Benoit and his wife Patricia of East Falmouth, MA; her daughter in law, Linda Benoit of Gastonia, NC; her grandchildren, Catherine Muniz of Myrtle Beach, SC, Travis Benoit and his wife Carolyn of Newburyport, MA, Spencer Benoit and his wife Erika of Falmouth, MA, Mary Beth Benoit of Falmouth, MA, John Benoit and his wife Christie of Gastonia, NC, and Steve Benoit and his wife Leigh Anne of Jamestown, NC; 4 great grandchildren; her brother, Reginald Tatro and his wife Lucille of Idaho Falls, UT; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Veronica was predeceased by her husband, Leon Benoit; her son, John E. Benoit; and her brothers, Guilford, Waldo & Lyle King.
The Mass of Chritstian burial will be held Friday July 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 62 Missisquoi St., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Roger Charbonneau officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 until the hour of the funeral at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg.
