MONTGOMERY - Vincent Sylvester Cutter, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was born in Bolton, VT on April 6, 1939 to the late David V Cutter & Elsie L (Sylvester) Cutter.
An avid outdoorsmen, Vince enjoyed both bow and rifle hunting, ATVing and snowmobiling, and was the unofficial "mayor" of Montgomery for many years. Vince was always up for a good game, his favorites included bowling, horseshoes and cribbage. He however had room for improvement on his sportsmanship. His resilience was tested being a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. Often referred to as "The man, the myth, the legend" Vince had an abundance of social gatherings with his many friends and was frequently the life of the party. Vince spent a great deal of his life in the Deep Gibou of Montgomery amongst his family and longtime friends. He also enjoyed creating projects for his son Randy with his most labor-intensive project of maple sugaring. His connections ran deep to those around him, especially his hunting buddies in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.
Vince worked at Green Mountain Power for 39 ½ years and was well loved by his GMP family.
Vince is survived by his children Thomas (Alisa) Cutter, Randy Cutter, Tonia (Bob) Maccioli, and Courtney Doherty; grandchildren Amber (Ben) Liset, Jennifer Cutter, Adrieanna Maccioli, Kaleb Maccioli, Morgan Cutter, Kinsley Sampson, and Everly Bonneau; great grandchildren Ezra, Deckard and Margot Liset; and siblings Connie Stevenson, George Cutter, Lee Cutter, Roberta Ellsworth, and Albert Cutter. Vince was predeceased by his parents & sister Patricia in the historic flood of 1955 followed later by his brothers John and Bernard.
A special thank you to Tonia and Bob and their network of friends who have selflessly and lovingly cared for Dad over the past 3 ½ years. Vince was Bob's "second" father and they thoroughly enjoyed their time together.
Additionally, we would like to extend our thanks to the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Lebanon, NH for all of their support, especially Dr. Charles W. Hopley, MD, MPH.
Friends & family are invited to Vince's life celebration on Thursday, September 1, 2022 to include public visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. followed with a memorial service at 11:00 A.M.at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
