BERKSHIRE - Vivian M. Paradis, age 82, passed away, Monday July 18, 2016 at Our Lady of the Meadows in Richford.
She was born July 16, 1934 in Berkshire the daughter of the late Adelord & Alphonsine (Goyette) Vachon.
Vivian was a lifelong resident of Berkshire where she and her husband, Rosaire owned and operated the family farm. She also worked at the Enosburg Falls High School hot lunch program for several years. She enjoyed reading, riding her bicycle, cooking, baking and working in her gardens. She especially loved having the family gather at her home for family functions and holidays. Later in life she purchased her own car which gave her a new found independence.
She is survived by her children, Albert Paradis and wife Dawn of Berkshire, Richard Paradis and friend Darlene of Enosburg, Leo Paradis and wife Baerbel of Berkshire, Helen Millinor of Berkshire, Claudette Paradis of Enosburg, Charlie Paradis of Wilmington, NC, Lisa Kane and friend Stephen of Essex Jct. and Joseph Paradis and wife Stefanie of Wylie, TX; a daughter-in-law, Susan (Begnoche) Paradis of Berkshire; her grandsons, Andre, Jonathan, Jeff, Kregg, Kasey, Jacob, JJ and Sean; her granddaughters, Abigail, Anna, Barbara, Jessica, Laura, Megan, and Shannon; and her great grandchildren, Bailee, Brandon, Rylynn & William; her siblings and their spouses, Arthur & Linda Vachon of Berkshire, Amanda Paradis of Richford, Pauline & Harvey Chadwick of Swanton, and Marcelene Coe and her husband Stanley Spaulding of Essex Jct.; several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Rosaire Paradis, her son, Paul Paradis; her sister, Doris Austin and her husband Larry; and her brothers-in-law, Raymond Paradis, Philip Coe.
The Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 222 Missisquoi St., Enosburg Falls.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
