ENOSBURG FALLS - William F. Bocash, age 91, husband of the late Zilda M. (Santaw) Bocash, passed away Sunday February 20, 2011 at the Redstone Villa Nursing Home in St. Albans.
He was born May 8, 1919 in North Troy the son of the late Theodore & Louise (Laflam) Bocash.
Bill & Zilda moved from North Troy in 1976 to Littleton, NH where he owned and operated Tire Warehouse II before moving to Enosburg Falls in 1992. In Enosburg Falls they made many friends at the United Methodist Church, joining a Bible Study as a couple, with Bill singing in the choir. He loved the social times, dinners and fellowship he found at this friendly church. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Eastern Star and of the Masonic Order. In his later years he enjoyed being a grandparent in the Foster Grandparent Program. He loved those youngster and they loved Poppy .
He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Allen of Richford, and Marcia Litchfield and her husband Lawrence of Mesa, AZ; his grandchildren, Lisa (Litchfield) Villa, Kristy (Litchfield) Baldwin, Michael Litchfield, Katherine (Allen) Dodds, Victoria Bocash, William Bocash II, and Michael Bocash; 9 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, Bill was predeceased by a son, Michael Bocash; a brother, Frederick Bocash; and 4 sisters, Florence Flood, Dorothy Heath, Edyth Bocash & Jenette Levoy.
A memorial service to honor Bills life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church, Church St., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Jon Bly officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visiting hours.
