Bill Hamilton

BERKSHIRE - William Henry Hamilton Sr., a beloved father, skilled carpenter, and outdoor enthusiast, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, at the age of 82.

He was born on December 11, 1942, in Thurston, NY, the youngest of nine children born to Franklin & Ruth (McKenzie) Hamilton.

Bill dedicated much of his life to the craft of carpentry, creating not just a career but a legacy that will stand the test of time. He took great pride in building his own home, a testament to his hard work and determination.

A man of simple pleasures, Bill found joy in the natural world around him. He cherished moments spent fishing, hunting, and maple sugaring. These activities were a way for him to connect with nature and share moments with his family. Bill always looked forward to family barbeques and Sunday dinners.

Bill is survived by his children, Katherine Westcom and her husband David, and Brian Hamilton and his wife Angel; grandchildren, Kayla Westcom, Alayna Westcom and her significant other Ian Kilburn, Jaren Westcom, Tiberius Quadratus, and Devon Hamilton and his wife Brittany; his brother, Frank Hamilton and his wife Dianne; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his wife, Pamela "Jeannie" (Greene) Hamilton; his son, William "BJ" Hamilton Jr.; and his siblings.

In keeping with Bill's wishes, there will be a private service for his family at a later date.
